Pluck 'n' Play!
Back to the topic of Pluck which I attended on Friday night. Went with Khee Nguen, Nick, Hui Shan, Yokes, Daniel and Khai Yuen.
Pluck was hilarious la. Haha. I went to find their website and saw clips of a recorded performance. Their other performance called Musical Arson had them burning a violin. Damn wasted.
In The Specialists I love the skirt-turned-gown (it was hard to stop laughing at that one), the chick and angel chicken, And IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII willll alwayssss loveee youuuuuUuuUuUuuuuuuUuuuuuu, Psycho, the violin which smoked, many many. The script was very witty and you hardly can expect them to make a joke out of it. I just felt sad for the violin which was smeared with cream.
Piangs, the skirt-turned-gown one was best. I'm giving out all the spoilers, because I doubt Pluck will come back with the same script next time. Hope they'll come again!
At the end of their concert they said something like, 'You can tell your friends about us and tell them to come for our performances, but apparently tickets are sold out!' And people laughed.
Felt lucky that I chanced upon this good performance.

Saturday morning was another round of marching practice, and like last Saturday when I went to Esplanade for PhilWinds after marching, I attended Play! A Video Game Symphony at 1430 hrs. Went with Cloud, Nick, Khai Yuen, Hui Shan, Qi Cai and Khee Nguen.
The concert was nice. I was quite happy about this weekend's concerts. Enjoyed both.
The Singapore Festival Orchestra played themes from video games like Super Mario, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Daytona USA (though I found it a bit ....... ), Sonic the Hedgehog, HALO, Warcraft etc. The orchestra was accompanied by what looked like a 100-strong choir formed by the Vocal Consorts and the NUS Choir. Very very nice when they accompanied!
It was my first time at a proper symphony orchestra concert actually. And it's soo nice looking at the strings doing their bowing together. There were also three big screens hanging on top of the players and you would be treated to scenes from the games themselves. I didn't know that the songs can be this nice la.
My brother SMSed me and asked 'Oh you went for Play! ah? I chose not to go.' He should regret, he's the gaming freak, not me. Haha.
Though I was ultra tired and my eyes were closing, and I didn't enjoy every piece, I think the concert was worth the trip.
S$17.
