Novelty cakes
Like Jing Yi I saw the article on some novelty design cakes in ST.
You can view the website here. There are many designs ranging from a steamboat feast to fast food meals to udon noodles. And all are cakes. Chopsticks are strawberry Pocky sticks. Haha.
Anyway, my dad liked this design. We're sort of intending to 庆祝大寿 for him for his next birthday because he's turning 50.
It is a cake, not a real lobster
It's a pretty-looking cake but it is damm expensive! It comes only in a size of 3kg costing $168. The price sounds good also, similar to what Chinese likes wish other friends (and themselves) that they prosper all the way. 一路发。More expensive than buying a real lobster I guess.
Moreover 3kg, how is the 5 or 6 of us going to finish it? Haha.
