In order to help the lower-income families i.e. like mine. But it's hard to fork out for a start.
Imagine you go to a restaurant, spend $15 on a meal there. This is how much you are charged:
Sub-total: $15
Service charge 10%: $1.50
GST 7%: $1.155
TOTAL: $17.655 which is approximately $17.65 that you have to pay.
A GST of 5% will be $0.825, compared to $1.155.
Man, things are getting damm expensive.
