Va. Tech VS Iraq

The massacre at Virginia Tech caused the whole world to be in mourning. 32 victims died. And the powerful (dis?)United States of America harped an influence that caught worldwide media attention, and the entire world sympathised. In addition, PM LHL wrote a letter of condolence to President Bush.

The massacre at Iraq which happens everyday seemed like just another day for us. We made no big deal about it. Does this mean that the Iraqis (and American/British/et al troops) who died because of war - be it outsiders or suicide bombers who killed them - do not deserve world attention? Or has it become a rampant condition that nobody made a big deal of? Why aren't there outsiders grieving for the Iraqis?

What is the difference between these two groups of people? Aren't they the same? Didn't the Guy-Up-There made us to be of one people? I thought He is great. Why didn't the world mourn for those whose lives ended in Iraq? Why does Bush continue killing others? Has he really thought about how it feels like to lose someone close to you? He is just like another Cho Seung-hui in Iraq. Did he mourn for the victims in Iraq? Did LHL write a letter of condolence to the current president of Iraq? Do Americans feel ashamed like how South Koreans do? Young as well as respected people were killed at Va. Tech. People of all ages were killed in Iraq. Including kids, the elderly, etc.

Argh. The ironies of this world. -_-
