Please be considerate.

To sound nice: Please don't ever consider suicide, there are better ways to solve your problem. Be considerate to the people around you who will be hurt if you disppear from the surface of the Earth.

To sound mean: Please don't ever consider suicide by jumping onto MRT tracks during peak hours/meal times. Be considerate to the hungry and tired people who might be holding their bladder. That's hundreds of people.

Look, this is what you caused.

At Kallang MRT on Friday evening

And then they turned off some of the lights within the train to save energy as much was wasted.

I mean, you must had been really desperate to do that.

But you know, please don't. Don't ever, ever want to jump onto the tracks.

H1N1

Yikes.

Two schools delay opening by a week.

If you can't be bothered to read, here's what is bothering me:

As for Hai Sing Catholic School, a trainee teacher attached to the school tested positive for the H1N1 virus on June 27. He attended a staff seminar on the morning of June 25 and six staff who were in close contact have been asked to take Leave of Absence from June 26 to July 2.

As only a small percentage of the school staff is on Leave of Absence, the school will operate as usual and reopen on Monday, June 29.

=S I still think they shouldn't open that soon. Maybe like, next week? In any way someone in the school was infected ma, who knows on Day 1 several kids might be infected. Scarly they never wash the school properly. =SSS

It's nicer than what was arranged in the piece haha.

June 20

is the Gregorian date of my lunar birthday this year. Which is 28th of the 5th month in the lunar calendar.

I had mee sua with red eggs for dinner which rather customary when it's your lunar birthday. Very little bother with this detail now, but my family still does.

I haven't had this mee sua for the past two or three or more birthdays because either I forgot or I wasn't home or whatsoever.

Finally got to eat it! =D

Hmm.

I really need to watch my weight.

Eat and eat and eat.

Why must greed be a sin.

Current favourite drink.

It retails for SGD 1.30 at almost all 7-Eleven stores.

Almost all. The one at Buangkok MRT doesn't have.

Love it.

It's not like reallllly milky that makes you full after drinking. It's actually quite refreshing, surprisingly.

Kids.

This happened when I went to teach a bunch of kids this morning.

Kid 1: (walks over) HELLO AUNTIE!!!

Me: -_- yyyeeess? (that kid is supposed to call me teacher.)

Kid 1: You married already not?

Me: Noooo.

Kid 1: Too bad!

Me: -_-

Kid 2: You got boyfriend?

Me: Why must I tell you??

Kid 2: Who is he?

Me: Why must I tell you?

Kid 2: (telling his friends) She's getting married soon la, she got boyfriend already. She's getting married soon!

*kids giggle all over the room*

-_-

Quote.

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own, and
you know what you know.
And you are the one who'll
decide where you'll go.

-Dr. Seuss

I have a brain, and I have feet.

I just need to have courage to face the obstacles that might come, and patience for a good future.

And work hard.

I'm deciding.

I don't even classify photography as skills I can learn in Homec.

SERIOUS STM.

Please read the previous post before reading this one.

I have serious short-term memory.

Serious.

Do you know of any medical help I can get for this?

I might even forget that I blogged.

This is bad.

Okay the thing is I took photos of the mee goreng (which was not spicy at all, to my dismay).

I totally forgot I sorted them in the food folder already.

T_T

Alrights, this food porn post will be a minor one. It's not something that I can stop and take photos of because I was afraid the noodles will get charred. It just carries on, you know.

And it was kinda my first time with a wok without my mum around. She went to Malacca for that weekend.

The recipe called for me to cook the noodles first.

I think that was a mistake because the noodles were too soggy in the end. Mee goreng isn't supposed to be soggy you know.

Here's the sauce that goes into the noodles.

And egg. Only two eggs left in the fridge, when I was hoping for an egg for each person. Too bad. It was really short on the eggs.

Heat up the wok.

And a series of events happened. This was what I got thereafter.

Looks like Chinese fried noodles right. 福建面。

But tasteless, that's all. I hadn't put the sauce mixture in.

Fry fry fry.

Sauce in.

Stir stir stir.

Fry fry fry.

Pardon the cabbage haha.

Totally unlike the mee goreng I know. The recipe I got was from a Malaysian blog. And I wonder if I added the wrong kind of chilli sauce.

Who cares.

Got prawn.

Other than the lack of spiciness and soggy noodles, this was edible and quite nice actually =Þ

I miss the mee goreng at my primary school.

STM

I remembered that I goreng-ed mee last Sunday.

And then I recalled that I forgot to take a photo of it =(((((((

Never mind la. Small thing.

But the mee goreng was quite nice, my family lapped it up.

That was just a nice way of putting it. HAHA.

At least we finished everything.

Advertisements that shoot.

On my way to meet RC for a movie, I saw an advert on the ground of Tampines MRT platform that seemed to be waging war. And I was kinda amused.

This is the Tampines Mall side of the platform, towards Pasir Ris.

It says 'Move to where the grass is greener.'

This is the Tampines 1 side of the platform, towards Joo Koon.

It says 'L1fe is greener at our side.'

Isn't that like war?

I secretly hope that Tampines Mall & Century Square can come up with advertisements to shoot Tampines 1, I (and many other Tampines residents) will be really entertained.

~~~~~
RC and I after the movie. We watched Angels & Demons, damn good yet a bit too bloody for me.
If you're thinking we wore the same colours you're wrong! It's just the lighting la.
But that would be cute right.
HAHA.
Food porn.
Heh. I'm so glad I finally got to cook after many weeks. This was on the 30th.
Spaghetti Bolognese.
It started with my brother's SMS in the morning if I wanted breakfast. I called him and he said he was at the pasta isle of the supermarket. Then he asked if I was gonna have lunch at home. I said yes. He said he'll buy the pasta.
And I cook.
Like. Thanks.
He did buy the pasta but of course I needed ingredients so I went down myself anyway.
Finally I got myself a bottle of olive oil. 1 litre at around SGD 15. The 500ml one was nearly ten bucks, so I crossed my fingers and bought the 1 litre one, hoping that that won't be too much.
OK I admit that I got to know this brand via Little Nyonya.
Anyway, here goes.
Heat the olive oil.
Then the carrots and onions. Cook cook cook.
When they're about done add in the minced meat. I was supposed to use beef but I got pork instead.
Cook cook cook. Until the meat is cooked.
Spices. I didn't have any fresh ones.
Maybe I should start planting.
Tomato paste.
Red wine. Yummmmmmmy.
Canned whole tomatoes.
In.
And some other things which I didn't take photos of.
Oh there was milk and Worcestershire too.
Done. Looks a little like curry cos of the milk. Haha.
And this is how it looks like after simmering for an hour.
*drools*
Okay la, I'm the only one drooling over here.
The end-product, topped with Parmesan cheese.
It was not bad at all! Here's the recipe.
Hello!
Anyone still around?
I'm done with Day 2.
Finally.
Sorry la, I had other things to distract me and I can't help it =Þ
Spoof.
Many of us know this picture.
If you don't know, the four men crossing the road are members of the Beatles.
And they've been spoofed.
Look at this tee.
SOOOO cute right. (IMO)
Thanks to RC for getting it for me =D
