The test.
I'm being asked to talk about the greatest achievement in life and how it relates to my strengths and weaknesses.
I'm so screwed.
I don't know what I've achieved.
Erm, those SYF gold medals? But if that's my greatest achievement in life, then hundreds and thousands of people share the same achievement. And then there are those who got honours attached to their gold medals.
I don't even have such honours attached to my degree.
There is nothing I can talk about with regards to my school results.
I did a random google on 'greatest achievement in life' and someone talked about being the best wife and mother.
Oh god.

Another writing test from the same organization, but a different department.
Grrr.
At least inform me of the email right, so that I can go home earlier to do.
*expletives*
So I read the email at 1 a.m. on Wednesday (today), the script is due in the evening, and I have a temp job which starts on Thursday morning.
Things were being thrown at me today. Firstly in the morning an agent called me regarding a $6.50/hr reception job in Marine Parade.
Thank goodness I rejected that one, because at 2 p.m. she called me to inform me of a better job offer.
This time, I was supposed to reach her office by 1430 so that I can make it for the interview which was at 3. Of course this meant cab fares that went unclaimed.
Because there was nowhere that I could claim from.
And then the interview ended at 4 plus, I went to town. At 5 plus she called to inform me that I got the job. And I was told to head down to the branch in town to sign the contract. That was like, immediately?
Then I came home and saw the email.
Everything has got to come together at the same time.
I hope the job that I really want will call later.
Like, next week, so that I know my schedule and it's easier for me to settle stuff.
I'm hoping and hoping that the temp job will be nice enough so that I won't be missing band practices. And especially the September 13 performance itself.
*crosses fingers*

Julie & Julia
I'm so gonna catch this.
Tomorrow I'm going to the library to get some DVDs.
Of Julia Child!
And I'm gonna get a book she wrote.
Today I went to Pasir Ris Library (because Tampines Library doesn't have) to borrow Julie & Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously. I'm gonna start on it soon!
Yeay yeay yeay.
It's things like these that keep me from getting employed, I suspect.

Pardon my occasional emo-ness.
Anyway.
I'm a sucker for these things.
Especially those sold in old-school shops and scooped out of huge glass containers.
I hardly buy those from the supermarkets, even though they might very well be from the same supplier.
But buying it by the weight makes all the difference.

United Breaks Guitars
What happened was this guy was travelling with his band by United Airlines and they broke his guitar. He tried to get them to settle this for the past year but there was no way he could get compensation. And he promised the last UA officer that he'd write three songs about this.
Here's Song 1. Song 2 and 3 are not out yet.
Instead of showing a very angry video I think this is quite light-hearted actually, and brings a little laugh too.
In a week the video's viewership hit more than a million, far more than he expected, and here's a video response from the 'victim' himself.

Natural World
I've been hearing this song for the past week.
Summer and autumn and winter and spring! Every season there's a special song to sing, to bring the season in!
Da daaa da daaa da daaa da da

1st driving lesson.
I made a U-turn today and my heart almost leapt out of my mouth.
And then a group of foreigners dashed across the road. Though I was driving slowly. Like, damn slow, the speedometer didn't even looked like it moved. HAHA. But still, I was so freaked out.

Remember Luigi?
You don't?? Oh man, he's Mario's green sidekick.
Ooops, better not let him hear that.
Watch this.
It's damn funny! Must watch all the way to the very end.
Anyway, there's another video worth sharing.
At first I didn't really bother about the body paint thing, I merely watched the video and waited for a body-painted guy to come along.
It was until the third person then I realised what's so different about this video.
I guess I was distracted by their kiwi accent.
