Practice makes Perfecto!

HAHAH

I was just whining about not getting to bake the past week. So today since I had the chance I went to buy ingredients for lasagna.

Followed the instructions on the pasta packet and myyyy!

The meat sauce was superb! Like damn good I must say. HAHA. Though it didn't entirely start from scratch as the recipe instructed me to use canned tomatoes. So if I use raw tomatoes the taste probably will not be as fragrant, I dunno. But it was really good.

The cheese sauce was............................sigh. Disgusting. HAHA. There was some weird cheese taste and I really couldn't take it.

So I didn't finish my lasagna which took me an hour to prepare =(

But the meat sauce is perfect for pasta. Next time!

End of the break

This break is meant for studying. However, a break is a break.

It is 2337 of Sunday, marking the start of the weekdays again.

Time zooms faster than the F1 racing cars. Lucky Renault, for example. Ferraris apparently are accident-prone.

I wonder if I'll get Monday blues because I'm enjoying all those catching up, going out, and money spent.

No no, I take back the latter.

Then I realised I didn't practise baking at all =( I was...occupied with other things, if not, just plain lazy to get my ass out of the house to get ingredients and the necessary equipment which I do not own.

We'll see about next weekend then. =\ Or the next next.

Yesterday was my last 'event' of the week, I went out with a handful of ex-colleagues to Clarke Quay and knowing me knowing you (ah haaaaa) I told my mum that I'd be back home quite late this time.

This morning when I woke up, my mum asked me what time I reached home last night. 1 a.m.?

No, I said. 4 a.m.

WAH! 4 a.m. ah? And then some extra comments.

I told you I won't be home early liao ma.

You went to drink is it?

Ya I drank.

What friends are those??

......My guai-est of friends drink as well, it's for social purposes, nothing more than that!

I think my mum was satisfied with that answer and she didn't get angry or anything =) And partly I stayed at home and help her with some chores so I think that probably made her happy.

I know what I'm doing, it's perfectly fine for me to go out late at all.

I feel a bit different nowadays, I don't know why. When I had to go out late late time, many occasions I was desperate to go home earlier than the rest, I don't like to go home in the wee hours of the morning. But last night, I totally didn't mind.

Hmms.

Then later in the evening my dad asked me what time I reached home. 1 a.m.??

Don't tell you.

Wa, getting more and more daring aren't you? Getting home so late at 12 plus to 1 huh?!

And I kept quiet knowing how he'd react had he known the truth.

The Grand Prix was really quite a moment for Singapore. I just hoped the PM looked a bit livelier, he was probably tired. And the racers aren't the friendliest of people, I learned. The race proved that you have to be in luck for things to go your way, even though you might have an advantage in the beginning, you may end up very well last. Read: Felipe Massa. (Messer. Mahs-sah. Messah. Muscle. Whatever.) And if Lady Luck is smiling at you, from the most disadvantage, you could win the entire thing altogether. Read: Alonso.

In my life I am Massa. Life is never fair anyway.

Time for a change

I wanna change my blog template but I just can't be bothered to do anything about it.

Zzzz.

And the break is coming to an end. Why does time fly? It's getting scary.

Ethan just peed on my bed -_- thank you very much.

Why I can't eat beef

I am sort of brought up as a Buddhist and like many others of the same religion, I am not allowed to consume beef.

However, I usually not consume beef due to preference, and not so much of religious reasons. I am not a person with faith, so I don't really follow what I am supposed to. Probably somewhat free-thinker, I don't know.

Last night at supper someone thought me that Buddhists and Taoists alike can't eat beef, because we drink cow's milk (raw milk, no melamine added) and that is just like how we drink our mothers' milk. Therefore the cow is also sacred as we grow up due to its milk. So we shouldn't eat beef.

That's somewhat quite an acceptable reason, but I still think I will still eat beef whenever I have no choice.

We'll see.

A line from a poem

玉琬徒见传, 交友义渐疏

I don't know what the above is talking about.

盧廣仲 早安, 晨之美!

This song is perking me up today.

I'm still wondering whether the music video is filmed backwards or what. He was still mouthing the words quite correctly!

Amazing.

And so cute!

Edit on the very night:
Thanks to RC who introduced this song! And the song is still stuck in my head!

Images of undying love

十五的月亮 十六圆

中秋夜。

Mid-autumn of 2008. 9 p.m.

I asked my parents if they wanna eat mooncake.

Just like the ol' days.

Dad was lying on his bed watching TV and refused to budge.

Mum said okay.

I took two mooncakes and cut them.

So this mid-autumn, I had my mum and me, mooncakes, and Lipton tea.

What used to be the tieguanyin, the Chinese porcelain teapot set, the mooncakes with or without yolks, the paper lanterns, the laughter, the family.

It was so long ago.

Google Chrome

My brother introduced me a brand new browser - still in its beta version, Google Chrome

Obviously one of Google's all-you-can-do stuff.

Has a cool interface, but don't expect too much first. For now, still a very normal browser. Soon I'll see what's good. You might want to try too.

Done!

I'm finally done with blogging about my US exchange. Check it out if you want, else, I'm back here.

However.

I have ANOTHER blog that I am required to update. Which is my LAM2201 Malay 2 blog.

So my latest update is over there. It really is a stupid one, haha.

If you have any comments about the posts there you can just tell me straightaway, 'cos it's not as public as it should be. Usually only the cikgu comments.

And I hate homework!

That's about it.
